On the day before league, I finally decided what ball I wanted and it's the Brunswick Ultra Zone.  I rolled a quick game with it on a burnt up house shot.  The ball had a very short pin on it (less than an inch), so I had it drilled with the pin under and to the right of my ring (I'm a righty by the way), with a small weight hole for added flare.  Rolled like my Vapor Zone, only rolls a tad sooner and hooks harder.

Took it out to league the following day and showed up late, so I didn't get to practice lol!  My first game suffered, as I only rolled 168.  I did find a comfortable line later in that game though, as my last games ended in a 267 and 261, for a 696 series.  Had a chance for my first 7 of the year, but I pulled my second shot in the tenth frame and left the 3-6-10... but oh well, it's gonna happen.  Still glad I could recover from last week.  Anyways, just thought I'd update you all on my bowling... Hey everyone.  I figured I'd make use of this blog utility and start posting how well I do each week in the scholarship league I'm in.

The first week was nothing special... I had to prebowl for it because I was going on a trip to Indianapolis to bowl in a collegiate tournament that weekend.  Woodland Bowl was awesome, and so was the city of Indianapolis, it was quite the sight to behold.  But anyways, I shot 179, 246 and 180 for a 605 series.  Left a few nasty splits in game one (including the 10th frame).  My only good game started with the front six followed by a couple ringing tens and a blower seven.  Overall, not a bad start to the league.

Second week was a bit rough.  Shot was pretty over under for the first game, and dry overall, so I went up the back of my Vapor Zone to control the hooking action a little more.  Strikes were still hard to come by unfortunately. :(  Spare were key for me, as it was the only reason I shot halfway decent lol!  I went 181, 203 and 192 for 576.  Hopefully next week will be better... I'm probably gonna hit the lanes and practice up a bit more.  But more importantly, I can't wait until I have enough money saved up to get a new Ultra Zone.  Man, that ball is just amazing!  But anyways, I'll try to update this on a weekly basis.  Hope everyone has a great weekend! :)
